U.S. President Donald Trump NOT Ruling Out Ground Troops In Venezuela

Speaking with reporters at the Oval Office this afternoon (Monday 17th November, 2025), United States President Donald Trump said he is not ruling out troops on the ground in Venezuela: “I don't rule out anything. We just have to take care of Venezuela.” His latest statement comes as many reports suggest the U.S. are close to conducting a military operation against Venezuela — as evidenced by the recent upsurge in U.S. military assets near the country. The USS Gerald R. Ford — the world’s largest aircraft carrier — and its three (3) accompanying warships, arrived in the Caribbean Sea just days ago.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on Sunday (16th November, 2025) that Venezuela’s Cartel de los Soles, allegedly led by President Nicolás Maduro and top regime officials, will be designated a terrorist organization for co-ordinating with groups like Tren de Aragua and the Sinaloa Cartel, to traffic drugs and spread violence across the Western Hemisphere.

Rubio made the announcement in a post on X, saying that the Department of State “intends to designate Cartel de los Soles as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). Headed by the illegitimate Nicolás Maduro, the group has corrupted the institutions of Government in Venezuela and is responsible for terrorist violence conducted by and with other designated FTOs as well as for trafficking drugs into the United States and Europe.”

More on this as it becomes available.
