Watch: Bag With $120,000 In Cash Snatched From Man In Port-of-Spain

A shopping bag containing $120,000 in cash was snatched from a man near the steps of the Inland Revenue Building in Port-of-Spain on Monday afternoon (24th November, 2025).

According to reports, the victim was approached by a man wearing a white t-shirt and an orange reflective vest, around 12:20 PM, who grabbed the bag and proceeded to walk away.

However, the victim followed the suspect as he entered into the passenger side of a waiting silver Nissan B15 motor vehicle. The victim briefly held onto the suspect but released him as the vehicle began to speed away. The suspects then escaped.

A 21-year-old man from Picton, Laventille, was arrested overnight in connection with the robbery.

Investigations are continuing.
