16-Year-Old Boy Detained With TT $900 In Counterfeit Cash

Officers of the San Fernando Police Station have detained a 16-year-old boy after he was found in possession of several counterfeit Trinidad and Tobago one-hundred-dollar bills.

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), around 8:05 PM on Friday night (5th December, 2025), Ag. Sgt. Seecharan and Officers of the San Fernando Enquiries Team acted on credible information and proceeded to the veranda area of the San Fernando Police Station, where they met a teen of Sunset Drive, Latchoos Road, Penal.

The teen handed over nine (9) TT $100 bills, which were examined by PC Ramsaroop and found to be fraudulent. He was subsequently detained and taken to the Booking Centre at the Oropouche Police Station. 

Enquiries are continuing.
