28-Year-Old Man Shot Dead In Vehicle Along Ariapita Avenue — Police Investigating
A man is dead following a shooting incident along Ariapita Avenue in Woodbrook last night (Sunday 14th December, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Jelani George of Hirondelle Street, Morvant.
According to reports, George was ambushed and shot while he sat in a parked silver Hyundai Creta (PEE 2853), outside Proper Ting Grill Hub, between Fitt and Murray Streets, around 8:50 PM.
The Woodbrook Police Station is said to be just around the corner.
The shooting incident sent late-night customers fleeing to safety.
Police and Emergency Health Services were notified. However, George succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
While there have been claims that two (2) other people were injured, Police say no such reports have been received.
Police have not yet established a motive for this murder.
Investigations are continuing.
