31-Year-Old Man Shot Dead Outside Bar In San Juan, Another Hospitalized

A man is dead and another wounded following a shooting incident outside King Style Bar in San Juan last night (Friday 5th December, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Mickel Browne of Champ Fleurs, Mt. Dor.

According to reports, Browne was liming with friends in an open area outside King Style Bar, located at the corner of Bridge Road and the Eastern Main Road, San Juan, around 8:00 PM. A gunman approached the group from behind, along Bridge Road and opened fire, striking Browne several times about the body. He reportedly stumbled away, seeking help from nearby patrons as the gunman fled the scene on foot in a Southerly direction along Bridge Road.

A 28-year-old man, standing near a car wash along Bridge Road, was also struck by gunfire, receiving a wound to his lower back.

An off-duty Police Officer, who was part of the group, reportedly gave chase and discharged one (1) round from his licensed firearm in the direction of the fleeing suspect. The gunman, however, managed to escape.

Police and Emergency Health Services were notified.

Browne was assisted by patrons and rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mount Hope, where he was treated by medical staff but later pronounced dead at 9:10 PM.

The wounded man was transported to the same Hospital by Police and later listed in a stable condition.

Police confirmed that CCTV footage of the shooting outside the bar was obtained and reviewed as part of the investigation.

Crime scene investigators recovered one (1) spent 9mm shell casing and two (2) swabs of blood.

Police have not yet established a motive for this murder.

Investigations are continuing.
