NO Electricity On Thursday In Parts of Barataria, El Socorro, Rampanalgas, Balmain, California

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that planned maintenance work will affect several areas of Barataria, El Socorro, Rampanalgas, Balmain and California on Thursday (11th December, 2025). This may result in loss of electricity between the hours of works. 

According to T&TEC, the affected areas in Barataria, El Socorro, Rampanalgas, Balmain and California are as follows: 

BARATARIA (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM)

  • Along 5th Street, Barataria, between 2nd and 4th Avenue.

EL SOCORRO (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

  • M.I. Trace.

EL SOCORRO (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM)

  • All customers from El Socorro Substation on El Socorro Extension Road #2 to LP #E7024582 South of corner of El Socorro Extension Road #1 and Rafeek Hosein Street, inclusive of El Socorro South Primary School, Hand Arnold Trinidad Limited, T&T Newsday, Ultimate Solutions Warehouse, Kaleidoscope Paints, ABC Doors Centre, Media Sales Limited, Toyota T&T, Rafeek Hosein Street from corner of Chanka Trace to LP #55, El Socorro Extension Road #2, Chanka Trace, Chootoo Road up to LP #A74, Patraj Trace, Pargarsingh Avenue, Parray Trace and all associated side streets.

RAMPANALGAS (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

  • From LP #298 to LP #374 on Toco Main Road, including Beach Resort Road, Farfan Trace, Bateau Trace, Sookdeen Trace, Ministry of Works, Balandra Beach Road, WASA, Jerome Street, Sugar Hill, Rampanalgas RC School, Beverly Hills, Khan Avenue and all associated side streets.

BALMAIN (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

  • From corner of Southern Main Road and Ganga Persad Road, along Ganga Persad Road to corner of Herbert Andrew Lane and Ganga Persad Road, inclusive of all associated side streets within HDC Infill Exchange Underground Development.

CALIFORNIA (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

  • From pole 810 on corner of Stephen Street and the Southern Main Road heading West up to pole 52/3 along Concerned Citizen Street. 
  • The following streets will be affected: Stephen Street, Sanford Street, West Boundary Street, Concerned Citizen Street.

T&TEC says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by these interruptions.
