P.M. Kamla Persad-Bissessar Hands Over Another 14 Refurbished Vehicles To TTPS
Prime Minister the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, MP, officially handed over fourteen (14) refurbished vehicles today (Thursday 18th December, 2025) to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), further strengthening its operational capacity.
In a statement issued via her X account, the Prime Minister said, “This handover aligns with my Government’s commitment to deliver a total of fifty (50) refurbished vehicles to the TTPS by the end of the year. Earlier, twelve (12) vehicles were handed over, followed by an additional fourteen (14) vehicles last week. With today’s handover, a total of forty (40) restored vehicles have now been returned to active service.
She added, “These additional vehicles will significantly aid the TTPS in the fight against crime by enabling Officers to cover a wider area, improve mobility, and respond more quickly to emergencies. Providing the Police Service with the necessary resources is critical to enhancing public safety and supporting frontline Officers in the execution of their duties.”
Mrs. Persad-Bissessar’s statement concluded by saying, “This initiative underscores the Government’s ongoing commitment to properly resource and support the TTPS with practical, tangible tools that deliver a lasting impact in the fight against crime. This handover represents yet another promise made — and a promise kept — in service of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.”
