52-Year-Old Woman Shot Dead In Valencia, PH Taxi Driver Wounded

A woman is dead and a man wounded following a shooting incident in Valencia last night (Saturday 3rd January, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Nancy Almarales of Clarence Trace, Valencia, while the wounded man has been identified as PH taxi driver, Kevin Charles.

According to reports, Almarales and Charles were inside a white Nissan AD wagon, being operated as a PH taxi, sometime after 11:00 PM. As the vehicle was proceeding out of Clarence Trace along the Valencia Old Road, it came under gunfire from unknown assailants.

Charles managed to drive to the Valencia Police Post, where he alerted Officers of the attack. However, while doing so, Almarales succumbed to her injuries and died inside the vehicle, just outside the Police Post.

Charles sustained injuries and received medical attention.

This is said to be the fourth confirmed homicide for the year thus far. 

Investigations are continuing.
