BODY of 59-Year-Old Man Found Inside Concrete Structure In Sangre Grande — Police Investigating

The body of a man was found inside a concrete structure in Sangre Grande on Thursday morning (15th January, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 59-year-old Cameron Parks of Park Avenue, Ojoe Road, Sangre Grande. Parks was last seen alive around 11:00 PM on Wednesday night (14th January, 2026) and his body was discovered at approximately 7:11 AM the following day.

According to reports, Police were alerted about the presence of a lifeless body on Sellier Circular, Ojoe Road, and responded to the scene. Upon arrival, around 9:00 AM on Thursday morning (15th January, 2026), PC Rennie and PC Alleyne were joined by Ag./Sgt. Hosein and other Officers from the Sangre Grande CID, where they observed the body lying face-down in a 20’ x 24’ concrete structure, dressed in a black vest, grey shorts, and black shoes, with blood visible from the mouth and nose.

A District Medical Officer (DMO) was summoned, who made certain pronouncements and ordered the body removed and taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mount Hope, for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death.

Investigations are continuing.
