T&TEC: NO Electricity On Wednesday In Parts of Couva And Point Fortin

UPDATE: T&TEC has cancelled its planned maintenance work for Point Fortin.


The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that planned maintenance work will affect several areas of Couva and Point Fortin on Wednesday (8th April, 2026). This may result in loss of electricity between the hours of works. 

According to T&TEC, the affected areas in Couva and Point Fortin are as follows: 

COUVA (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

  • Reservoir Road, Basta Hall Road, Coconut Street, Cemetery Street and all associated side streets, inclusive of Seelochan Trace, NPC Farm Road and Oplay Road, Basta Hall.

POINT FORTIN (8:00 AM to 12:00 PM)

  • From LP #A1802 Southern Main Road, Point Fortin, including Petrotrin Oilfield Road, Point Fortin Main Road up to LP #1813, Techier Road and all associated side streets.

T&TEC says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by these interruptions.
