Woman Dies After Pickup Crashes Into Her Car Along Rivulet Road, Couva

A woman is dead following a road traffic accident along Rivulet Road in Couva on Saturday (4th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as Tracy Joseph.


According to reports, Joseph was driving a grey Nissan sedan (PCD 744) along Rivulet Road, near a bend, when her vehicle was struck on the left side by a white pickup van. The accident occurred during rainfall.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damages.

Police, Fire and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene. However, Joseph succumbed to her injuries.

It is unclear how many other persons were injured.

Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.

  1. The van did not crash into the car....she swerved towards the van and crash...Apparently she got ill and lost control...saw what happened

    1. Thanks for your comment as a witness. The article did not place blame on either party, which is for the authorities to determine. However, it is clear the van severely impacted the car, regardless of who was at fault, or whether the car came screeching towards the van.
