7-Year-Old Among TEN (10) Venezuelan Nationals Held While Entering Country Illegally
Ten (10) Venezuelan nationals who attempted to enter the country illegally were arrested on Monday morning (8th September, 2025).
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Officers of the South-Western Division intercepted a vessel approximately one (1) mile from shore in the Erin district, around 7:05 AM.
The TTPS said ten (10) Venezuelan nationals, ages seven (7) to twenty-five (25), were detained and Officials of the Immigration Department and the Children’s Authority informed.
Investigations are continuing.
