Education Ministry RESPONDS To Altercation At Arima North Secondary School
The Ministry of Education said it has taken note, “with deep concern,” of a video circulating on social media depicting an altercation at Arima North Secondary School. The physical confrontation at the school is said to have involved a female teacher and a female student.
In a Media Release on Wednesday (10th September, 2025), the Ministry said it “condemns such behaviour, which undermines the values of respect, discipline, and responsibility that our education system seeks to instill in all learners.”
According to the Ministry, “A full investigation into the incident has been initiated. The Ministry assures the public that appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against all those found culpable, in keeping with the provisions of the Education Act, Ministry policy, and the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The integrity of the learning environment remains paramount.”
The Media Release concluded by saying, “The Ministry reaffirms its zero-tolerance stance on violence and indiscipline in schools, and will continue to work closely with school administrations, parents, and law enforcement to ensure safe and secure learning environments for every child.”
More on this as it becomes available.
