Rescheduled: Temporary Traffic Disruption Along Uriah Butler Highway
In a Media Release today, the Ministry said the temporary traffic disruption is now scheduled for Thursday 11th September, 2025 and is expected to be completed on Thursday 18th September, 2025. These works have become necessary to facilitate road rehabilitation works.
Hours of Work: 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM
The Ministry is reminding the public that there will be frequent movement of heavy equipment along the roadway, which may result in dust, noise and restrictions to traffic flow.
Considering the above, motorists are advised to comply with the following:
- Drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zones.
- Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.
- Drive with caution on all milled (possibly uneven) surfaces.
- Be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.
- Comply with instructions from Police Officers on-site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
The Ministry said it regrets any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for its continued co-operation. For further information, please call the Programme for Upgrading Roads Efficiency (PURE) Unit at 638-2350 or 675-4052.
