Today: Sunny, Slightly Hazy, 30% Chance For Heavy Showers — Saharan Dust Present; 33°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect sunny and slightly hazy conditions today (Thursday 25th September, 2025), interrupted intermittently by partly cloudy intervals associated with isolated light to moderate showers, near, but not confined to, hilly areas. There is a low (30%) chance that some of these showers could become heavy and/or thundery. Tonight will be mostly fair, except for some partly cloudy conditions with a few light to moderate showers developing just after Midnight.
In the vicinity of heavy showers and/or thunderstorms, we can expect gusty winds, street/flash flooding and isolated ponding in areas so prone.
The Met Office notes that Saharan dust is present in our atmosphere. Persons sensitive to changes in air quality should take the necessary precautions.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 33°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 32°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves up to 2m in open waters and up to 1m in sheltered areas.
Please continue to pay attention to the latest forecasts, alerts, and information issued by the TTMS.
