Today’s Weather: Fair, Hazy, 60% Chance For Heavy Showers — Saharan Dust Present; 33°C Max

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect fair and hazy conditions today (Wednesday 10th September, 2025), becoming partly cloudy at times, with a few isolated light to moderate showers, near, but not confined to, hilly and Western areas. There is a medium (60%) chance that isolated heavy showers and/or thunderstorms could develop near these areas from early afternoon. Tonight will be mostly fair, except for some isolated showery interruptions. 

In the vicinity of heavy showers and/or thunderstorms, we can expect gusty winds, street/flash flooding and isolated ponding in areas so prone. 

The Met Office notes that Saharan dust is present in our atmosphere. Persons sensitive to changes in air quality should exercise caution.

The forecast maximum temperature today will be 33°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 32°C at Crown Point in Tobago. 

Seas are moderate with waves up to 2m in open waters and up to 1m in sheltered areas.
