Here’s The 5-Day Weather Outlook For T&T [Saturday Until Wednesday]

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), a Tropical Wave with its axis near 41W is moving Westward at approximately 10 kts to 15 kts. This Wave is at present exhibiting moderate vorticity near the axis. The axis of this Wave appears to be slowing and turning to a West-Northwest to Northwest track and could pass to the Northeast of the Windward Islands by Wednesday (29th October, 2025).

Looking Beyond This Outlook Period

  • At this time, looking ahead in the Area of Interest during the seven (7) days following this outlook period, there are no other significant features analyzed, except for intermittent equatorial convergence and associated moisture advection, mainly across the Windward Islands.
  • These early analyses so far into the future are subjected to much variation as time progresses. The Met Office said it will continue to analyze and monitor all developments, or possible developments, within our Area of Interest.

Seas

  • The wind waves in the open waters to the near-East and Northeast of Trinidad and Tobago are expected to be 1.5m to 2m during this outlook period.

Wind

  • The wind in the near-surface to the lower mid-level over Trinidad and Tobago and the Southern Windward Islands (2,000 ft to 5,000 ft) is expected to be near 8 kts to 12 kts for this outlook period. Direction is expected to be between East and Southeast for this outlook period.

Dust

  • Mostly mild, occasionally moderate concentrations of Saharan dust will be present in the atmosphere during this outlook period. Sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.

Synopsis And 5-Day Outlook

  • Generally, low-level convergence and moisture advection, associated with small surface troughs, will be mainly across Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands during this outlook period. By Wednesday (29th), there is likely to be increased convergence across the Leeward Islands associated with a passing Wave.

Saturday (25th October, 2025) 

  • Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands: Partly cloudy with light to moderate showers over varying areas, and medium chance for an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm between late morning to afternoon.
  • The Leeward Islands: Mostly fair, except for the Northerly Leeward Islands becoming partly cloudy at times, with a low to medium chance for an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm.

Sunday (26th October, 2025)

  • Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands: Between early morning to mid-day, will be partly cloudy with a few light to moderate showers and a low to medium chance for an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm, favouring Tobago and Eastern offshore areas of Trinidad.
  • The Leeward Islands: Generally fair with brief showers over varying areas and a low to medium chance for an isolated heavy shower, mainly near hilly areas.

Monday (27th October, 2025)

  • Trinidad and Tobago: Mostly fair and sunny. There is a low chance for an isolated heavy shower to develop during the afternoon, near hilly areas or Western Trinidad. 
  • The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Mostly fair but partly cloudy at times across the Windward and Southern Leeward Islands, with brief, light to moderate showers and a low chance for an isolated heavy shower.

Tuesday (28th October, 2025)

  • Trinidad and Tobago: Initially fair and sunny, becoming partly cloudy by mid-morning to early afternoon, with brief showers over some areas and a low chance for localized moderate to heavy showers, mainly near hilly areas.
  • The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Generally fair and sunny but at times, partly cloudy conditions across the Leeward Islands will be likely to produce a few light or moderate showers, with a low chance for an isolated heavy shower.

Wednesday (29th October, 2025)

  • Trinidad and Tobago and the Southern Windward Islands: Generally fair and sunny, but becoming partly cloudy by mid-morning to early afternoon over Trinidad and Tobago, with brief showers over some areas and a medium chance of an isolated thunderstorm over Western Trinidad during the afternoon.
  • The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Partly cloudy with some light to moderate showers over varying areas during the late morning to evening, and a medium chance for an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm.

The TTMS said it continues to analyze and monitor all developments within the Area of Interest.
