‘Weak’ Tornado Damages Multiple Homes In Westmoorings
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), a low-level trough, producing strong isolated thunderstorm activity, created waterspouts and a weak tornado over Northwestern Trinidad, in the vicinity of Westmoorings, shortly after 12:00 PM today (Tuesday 7th October, 2025).
There are reports of damage to at least four (4) homes at Cherry Crescent Avenue in Westmoorings as a result of this activity.

After the tornado impacted Westmoorings, it then moved into the Gulf of Paria, Southwest of Westmoorings, around 12:08 PM, forming a visible funnel as it became a waterspout, seen in the background of The Renaissance at Shorelands below:
The Met Office said partly cloudy/cloudy conditions and thunderstorm activity are ongoing. Conditions are expected to improve later today.
