Met Office EXTENDS Adverse Weather Alert Until 4:00 PM
UPDATE (1:30 PM): The Met Office has discontinued the Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) earlier than scheduled. Though light rain may persist, impactful weather conditions have diminished significantly.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has extended its Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) until 4:00 PM this afternoon (Thursday 20th November, 2025) for Trinidad and Tobago. The Alert began at 3:00 AM this morning and was initially set to expire at 9:30 AM.
The current conditions are associated with the passage of a low-level trough, enhanced by favourable mid to upper level flow.
According to the Met Office, scattered showers and persistent rain with occasional thunderstorms, accompanied by gusty winds, continue to affect various parts of Trinidad and Tobago. Possible impacts include street and/or flash flooding in areas so prone, localized ponding in low-lying areas and landslips and landslides.
