25-Year-Old Man Shot Dead In Enterprise, Chaguanas; Woman Hospitalized — 28 Spent Shells Found
A man is dead and a woman wounded following a shooting incident in Enterprise, Chaguanas, last night (Thursday 4th December, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Shakeem Breedy of Circular Drive, Enterprise. The wounded woman has been identified as 50-year-old Michelle Best of Chinese Drive, Enterprise.
According to reports, Breedy and Best were sitting in the front gallery of Best’s home, around 7:30 PM, when two (2) gunmen dressed in black alighted from a black Nissan Tiida and opened fire. One assailant used a pistol, while the other fired an automatic weapon. They then fled West along Chinese Drive.
Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and both victims were rushed to the Chaguanas Health Facility, where Breedy died while undergoing emergency medical treatment at 7:44 PM.
Best sustained gunshot wounds to her lower right leg, tibia and foot and remains in a stable condition.
Police believe the attack was drug-related.
Crime scene investigators recovered twenty-eight (28) spent shells — six (6) 9mm rounds and twenty-one (21) 5.56 rounds, along with one (1) apparent projectile.
The killing occurred nearby to the fatal shooting of Dwayne Baynes on 22nd November, 2025, who was gunned down while riding his bicycle near the corner of Postman Drive and Mano Trace.
Investigations are continuing.
