BODIES of Claxton Bay Couple Found In Home In Apparent Murder-Suicide
The bodies of a man and woman were found at a residence in Pranz Gardens, Claxton Bay, this morning (Monday 8th December, 2025), in what Police are treating as a suspected murder-suicide. The deceased have been identified as 29-year-old Shazard Mohammed and 42-year-old Angel Lutchman. Mohammed was said to be a Digicel employee.
The gruesome discovery was made by Lutchman’s 13-year-old son, around 7:20 AM, when he came to visit his mother at her home, located on Abraham Street, Pranz Gardens. The boy lives with his aunt at another location.
Lutchman was found with her throat slit, while Mohammed was found hanging by an electrical cord from a rafter over the bed.
Police were notified and Officers from the Couva Police Station responded to the scene.
Authorities have indicated that Mohammed and Lutchman were in a relationship.
Residents of Pranz Gardens expressed grief and disbelief over the violent domestic incident.
Investigations are continuing to determine the circumstances which led to their deaths.
