BODY of 39-Year-Old Man Found In Corinth, San Fernando — Police Investigating
The body of a man was found on the roadside in Corinth, San Fernando, on Monday afternoon (8th December, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Keion Phillip of no fixed address. The alleged killer is said to be known to the victim and lives across the street from the body was found.
According to reports, Officers from the Ste. Madeleine Police Station responded to an anonymous call about the body and upon arrival, found Phillip lying motionless on his back on Murchison Castle Street, off Naparima Mayaro Road. He had injuries to his nose, with blood found in and around his nose and eyes. Phillip was wearing a black T-shirt, blue long track pants folded below the knee, black boxers, and black slippers.
Among the first responders to the scene were Sgt. Harripersad and WPC Knights.
Emergency Health Services (EHS) personnel were also alerted but found no signs of life.
Insp. Teeluck, ASP (Ag.) Charles, Sgt. Gobin, along with other Officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region III, visited the scene and gathered evidence.
District Medical Officer (DMO) Dr. Santlal was also summoned, who declared Phillip dead at 5:04 PM and ordered the body removed to the mortuary of the San Fernando General Hospital for safekeeping, pending an autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre in St. James.
Investigations are continuing by WPC Knights.
