Here’s The 5-Day Weather Outlook For T&T [Thursday Until Monday]

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), a well-formed Central North Atlantic high pressure cell, with a relatively straight fetch across the equator side, is expected to provide steady winds with intermittent patches of moisture advection across the Lesser Antilles during this outlook period.

The wave heights are expected to be between 2.5m and 3m with a period of eight (8) or nine (9) seconds. There is some indication that the wave heights are likely to increase to near 3m by Friday (12th December, 2025).

Tropical Waves, Troughs And Disturbances

  • None are likely. The Hurricane Season officially ended on 30th November, 2025.

Looking Beyond This Outlook Period

  • There are no significant precipitation-producing weather features analyzed immediately after this outlook period.
  • The height of the wind waves in the open waters to the immediate East of the Lesser Antilles is expected to remain near 2.5m and above at times.
  • These early analyses so far into the future are subjected to much variation as time progresses. The Met Office said it will continue to analyze and monitor all developments or possible developments within our Area of Interest.

Seas 

  • The wind waves in the open waters to the near-East and Northeast of Trinidad and Tobago are expected to be near 2.5m and likely to increase to near 3m by Friday (12th).

Wind 

  • The wind in the near-surface to the lower mid-level over Trinidad and Tobago and the Southern Windward Islands (2,000 ft to 5,000 ft) is expected to be mostly between 20 kts and 25 kts, peaking to 25 kts to 30 kts on Friday (12th) and Saturday (13th).
  • Direction is expected to be generally Easterly.

Dust 

  • Generally mild or occasionally moderate concentrations of Saharan dust are present in the atmosphere, becoming moderate by Saturday (13th). Sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.

  • High pressure across the Atlantic is expected to provide steady winds with intermittent patches of moisture advection across the Lesser Antilles. We can expect choppy to rough seas during this outlook period.
  • The wave heights are expected to be between 2.5m and 3m with a period of eight (8) or nine (9) seconds. There is some indication that the wave heights are likely to increase to near 3m by Friday (12th).

Thursday (11th December, 2025)

  • Trinidad and Tobago: Fair sunny and breezy with a brief shower likely in some areas. 
  • The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Generally fair and breezy with partly cloudy patches, producing a few showers, favouring hilly areas.

Friday (12th December, 2025)

  • Trinidad and Tobago and the remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Generally fair, sunny and breezy with partly cloudy patches, producing a few showers in some areas. There is a low chance for an isolated heavy shower over Trinidad by late morning or during the afternoon.

Saturday (13th December, 2025)

  • Trinidad and Tobago and the remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Fair, hazy and breezy, becoming partly cloudy at times. There is a low chance for an isolated heavy shower, mainly near hilly areas.

Sunday (14th December, 2025)

  • Trinidad and Tobago: Partly cloudy, hazy and breezy. Brief, light to moderate showers over varying areas are expected, with a low chance for an isolated heavy shower during the morning. Conditions will become mostly fair by mid-afternoon. 
  • The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Generally fair, hazy and breezy, with partly cloudy patches, producing a few showers, favouring hilly areas.

Monday (15th December, 2025)

  • Trinidad and Tobago: Fair, sunny, hazy and breezy, with a brief shower likely in some areas. 
  • The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Generally fair, hazy and breezy, with partly cloudy patches, producing a few showers, favouring hilly areas.

The TTMS said it continues to analyze and monitor all developments within the Area of Interest.
