Here’s The 5-Day Weather Outlook For T&T [Tuesday Until Saturday]

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), a surface trough presently near 53W is likely to bring a few partly cloudy periods across the Lesser Antilles by tomorrow (Tuesday 30th September, 2025), with low to medium chances for isolated thunderstorms over Trinidad and Tobago and the Southern Windward Islands.

The axis of a Tropical Wave near 44W is presently moving Westward at 10 kts to 15 kts. As this Wave moves closer to the Leeward Islands by Thursday (2nd October, 2025), the structure of this Wave, and associated activity, could be reduced as a result of the influence of strong tropical cyclones Humberto and Imelda passing to the North.

A Tropical Wave with an axis near 17W in the far Eastern Atlantic is presently moving Westward at 10 kts to 15 kts. An associated area of low pressure has been analyzed and the Met Office said it will continue to monitor its development.

Looking Beyond This Outlook Period

  • The present general analysis at this time is that there is not likely to be any significant cyclonic development across the Tropical/Equatorial Atlantic during the seven (7) days following this outlook period.
  • Early indications are that most of the precipitation-producing activity is likely to be as a result of an increase in low-level convergence at times and intermittent moisture build-up, with medium to high chances for thunderstorm activity across the Lesser Antilles during the seven (7) days following this outlook period.
  • These early analyses so far into the future are subjected to much variation as time progresses. The Met Office said it will continue to analyze and monitor all developments, or possible developments, within our Area of Interest.

Seas

  • The wind waves in the open waters to the near-East and Northeast of Trinidad and Tobago are expected to be generally near 1.5m for this outlook period. The Met Office notes that long period swells are likely to begin to encroach immediately following this outlook period.

Wind

  • The wind in the near-surface to the lower mid-level over Trinidad and Tobago and the Southern Windward Islands (2,000 ft to 5,000 ft), is expected to be generally between 5 kts to 15 kts for this outlook period. Direction is expected to be generally from between the Southeast and East until Thursday (2nd), when it backs to come from between the East and Northeast.

Dust

  • Presently, there are mostly mild/occasionally moderate concentrations of Saharan dust in the atmosphere during this outlook period.
