Adverse Weather Alert In Effect: Cloudy, High Chance For Heavy Showers Today; 29°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), today (Saturday 18th October, 2025) will be partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times, with showers over varying areas and a high chance for heavy showers or thunderstorm development.
An Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) is in effect from 12:00 PM today.
A Hazardous Seas Alert (Yellow Level) is also in effect.
The Met Office notes that in the event of a heavy shower or thunderstorm, strong down-draughts with gusty winds are likely to occur, and street/flash flooding or ponding in areas so prone. The risk of a landslip or landslide is elevated at this time. Choppy seas are to be expected.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 29°C at both Piarco in Trinidad and Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 1.5m to 2m in open waters and 1m, becoming choppy at times, in sheltered areas.
