Here’s The 5-Day Weather Outlook For T&T [Wednesday Until Sunday]
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), the axis of a weak surface trough near 54W is presently moving Westward at approximately 10 kts – 15 kts. The weather associated with this trough is likely to bring moderate convergence, patches of moisture build-up, and medium chances for isolated thunderstorm activity in varying areas on Wednesday (8th October, 2025).
At 11:00 AM this morning (Tuesday 7th October, 2025), Tropical Storm Jerry was located with its center near 11.5N 44.6W and moving West at 21 kts (24 mph).
Looking Beyond This Outlook Period
- On Friday (10th), an area exhibiting at least moderate vorticity is expected to leave the African West Coast and could eventually reach the Lesser Antilles as a Wave by Tuesday (14th) to Wednesday (15th).
- On Monday (13th), another Wave is likely to enter the Eastern Equatorial Atlantic.
- As time progresses, these early analyses into the future are subject to significant variation. The Met Office said it will continue to analyze and monitor all developments, or possible developments, within our Area of Interest.
Seas
- The wind waves in the open waters to the near-East and Northeast of Trinidad and Tobago are expected to be generally near 1.5m to 2.5m, peaking nearer to 2.5m on Thursday (9th).
- A Hazardous Seas Alert (Yellow Level) is in effect until Wednesday morning (8th).
Wind
- The wind in the near-surface to the lower mid-level over Trinidad and Tobago and the Southern Windward Islands (2,000 ft to 5,000 ft) is expected to be 15 kts to 20 kts for this outlook period.
- Direction is expected to be initially Easterly but veering to South-Easterly on Thursday (9th) and Friday (10th), and back to Easterly by Friday evening (10th).
Dust
- There will be mostly mild to occasionally moderate concentrations of Saharan dust in the atmosphere until Friday (10th) and Saturday (11th), after which the concentrations are likely to be moderate to occasionally high.
- Sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.

Wednesday (8th October, 2025)
- Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands: From overnight and into the mid-morning, there will be cloudy periods drifting from the North, with light to moderate showers and medium to high chances for thunderstorm activity, becoming settled to fair by afternoon.
- The Leeward Islands: Conditions are likely to be fair, becoming partly cloudy by afternoon into evening, with light to moderate showers and a medium chance for a few heavy showers or isolated thunderstorms.
Thursday (9th October, 2025)
- Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands: Partly cloudy periods mainly during the morning, and a medium to high chance for isolated thunderstorm activity in some areas, especially Tobago and Eastern to Eastern offshore areas of Trinidad. There is likely a low to medium chance for an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm to occur near hilly areas during the late morning to afternoon.
- The Leeward Islands: A very near passing tropical cyclone, Jerry, is expected to bring instability to the area. There is a high chance for strong thunderstorm activity in some areas.
Friday (10th October, 2025)
- Trinidad and Tobago and the remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Partly cloudy to at times cloudy with medium chances for isolated thunderstorm activity over varying areas. Increasingly settled to fair conditions from mid-afternoon are expected, but partly cloudy conditions with some showers are expected to persist into the night over the Northern Leeward Islands.
Saturday (11th October, 2025)
- Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands: Partly cloudy during the morning to mid-afternoon with a few light to moderate showers interrupting some sunshine over varying areas. There is a medium to high chance for isolated thunderstorms, especially over Tobago and Eastern to Eastern offshore areas during the morning and over Central to Western Trinidad from late morning into mid-afternoon.
- The Leeward Islands: A few light to moderate showers over varying areas, interrupting fair conditions. There is a low to medium chance for an isolated heavy shower, especially near hilly areas.
Sunday (12th October, 2025)
- Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands: Partly cloudy during the morning to mid-afternoon with a few light to moderate showers, interrupting some sunshine over varying areas. There is a medium to high chance for isolated thunderstorms, especially over Eastern to Eastern offshore areas during the morning and over Central to Western Trinidad from late morning into mid-afternoon.
- The Leeward Islands: A few light to moderate showers over varying areas, interrupting fair conditions. There is a low to medium chance for an isolated heavy shower, especially near hilly areas.
