Met Office: January To March 2026 Likely To Be Wetter Than Usual

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) is reminding the public that the first half of the 2026 Dry Season (January to March) is likely to be wetter than usual overall, with frequent rainfall events occurring over most areas.

Above-normal is defined as rainfall amounts greater than or equal to 125% of the Long Term Average (LTA) (1991 - 2020).

The Met Office notes that most of the observable dryness will be seen in the latter half of March 2026, while near-normal rainfall amounts are likely during the latter half of the Dry Season.
