TTPS: Electoral Process In Tobago Conducted In Safe, Calm, Orderly Manner
As voting concluded at 6:00 PM today (Monday 12th January, 2026) in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) elections, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said it is “satisfied that the electoral process was conducted in a safe, calm, and orderly manner.”
According to the TTPS, Police Officers remained strategically deployed across polling divisions throughout the day, ensuring public safety and the smooth conduct of voting.
The Service said it “extends sincere thanks to members of the public for their co-operation and to our Officers for their professionalism, vigilance, and dedication in maintaining a secure voting environment. As the nation transitions into the post-election period, the public is encouraged to continue to act responsibly, remain respectful of others, and observe the law, including during any celebrations.”

The TTPS added that it “remains committed to preserving public order and ensuring the safety of all.”
