Health Ministry Advises On Recall of Moringa Capsules
The Ministry of Health, via its Chemistry, Food and Drugs Division (CFDD), is advising the public of a voluntary recall of Rosabella Moringa capsules, initiated by Ambrosia Brands LLC in February 2026.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States of America, Rosebella Moringa capsules have been linked to multiple cases of drug-resistant Salmonella infections. Illness caused by Salmonella infection usually develops within twelve (12) to seventy-two (72) hours and can last for four (4) to seven (7) days.
In a Media Release today (Friday 27th March, 2026), the Ministry said, “The most common symptoms include diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps. While many individuals recover without treatment, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems are at greater risk of experiencing severe infections.”
Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, the Ministry is advising persons who may have purchased or are currently in possession of the affected products, to discontinue use immediately and return the product to the place of purchase, where possible.
The recalled Rosabella-brand Moringa powder capsules have the following lot codes and expiration dates:
