PTSC: Temporary Closure of Access Near Port-of-Spain Public Washroom

The Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) is advising the traveling public that critical refurbishment and upgrade works have commenced on the roof of the public washroom facility at the Port-of-Spain Depot.

In a Notice issued on Friday (13th March, 2026), PTSC said, “In order to ensure the safety of commuters and members of the public, the pedestrian corridor leading to the East entrance of City Gate is temporarily closed. As a precautionary measure, foot traffic has been diverted around the perimeter of the building while the necessary repair works are undertaken.”

PTSC added, “OSH and security personnel will be on site directing pedestrian movement, and appropriate signage has been installed to assist members of the public in complying with the diversion. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank the traveling public for their patience and co-operation as these essential works are carried out.”

These works are expected to be completed by Sunday (15th March, 2026).

Please be guided accordingly.
