A man is dead after he was struck and dragged by a vehicle along the Preysal Main Road last night (Wednesday 15th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Martin Machikan, of Main Road, Preysal. The driver of the vehicle is said to have failed to stop following the impact.

According to reports, Machikan was struck by a white motor vehicle while he was on the roadway. The impact caused him to be dragged along the roadway before the same vehicle then ran over him during what is believed to have been an overtaking manoeuvre.
