DOUBLE Murder In Longdenville, Chaguanas — Brother And Sister Shot Dead By Lone Gunman
Two (2) siblings are dead following a brutal shooting incident in Longdenville, Chaguanas, last night (Thursday 4th June, 2026). The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Brian “Regis” Clarke and his elder sister, 55-year-old Margarita Clarke. Both lived along the Longdenville Old Road.
Reports state that the siblings were shot and killed by a lone masked gunman who stormed their residence, around 8:00 PM. The shooting is said to have occurred a short distance away from the Longdenville Police Post.
Speaking with Guardian Media today (Friday 5th June, 2026), Clarke’s 42-year-old nephew, who did not wish to be identified, said the masked man arrived in a car [Nissan Note - PEJ 4185] and ran into the building, which houses several families in separate apartments.
According to the nephew, “When the guy run in, it had music playing two (2) sides -- it had music playing downstairs and on the next side they. I was liming on that next side and when I hear something go ‘Bam, Bam,’ ah say let meh stop the music, when I watch up I saw the guy running downstairs, he had the mask on and yuh cyar make him out.”
He said the gunman entered the house and shot Margarita once while she was sitting around a table with other people. The gunman then ran upstairs and shot Brian, who was lying on a couch.
The relative said Brian fell to the floor, where the gunman fired several more shots at his upper body.
Relatives said they are baffled by the killings and believe Margarita may have been shot after she got up when the gunman entered the building.
They said Brian had no children and worked at a hardware store.
Meanwhile, Magarita’s 31-year-old son, Darius Lopez, said his mother was a hard worker who was employed in the food service industry. “Last night I come home and see my mother lie down on de ground and I now take out money from the bank to give my mother and I not too please with that. My mother was no bad person at all. It have no reason to kill my mother.”
Investigations are continuing into the double murder.
