Today: Dull, Hazy, Breezy, 25% Chance For Heavy Showers — High Saharan Dust; 32°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect mostly dull, hazy and at times, breezy conditions today (Monday 1st June, 2026), interrupted by partly cloudy intervals with a few showers, favouring hilly regions. For Trinidad, there is a low (25%) chance of the isolated heavy shower, favouring Southern and hilly areas. Tonight will be mostly dull and hazy, despite the chance of isolated showers.
Gusty winds are likely to occur in/near showers.
The Met Office notes that a high concentration of Saharan dust is expected to persist. Persons sensitive to changes in air quality are advised to exercise the necessary precautions.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 32°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 31°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves near 2m in open waters and near 1m and choppy at times in sheltered areas.
