Today: Variably Cloudy, 60% Chance For Thunderstorm Activity — Increasing Saharan Dust; 29°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect variable cloud cover with a few periods of rainfall today (Sunday 7th June, 2026), especially over Trinidad. There is also a medium (60%) chance of isolated thunderstorm activity. Conditions are expected to settle before evening, apart from the odd lingering shower.
Street flooding and gusty winds are likely in the event of heavy downpours.
The Met Office notes that an increase in Saharan dust is expected this evening. Mild to moderate concentrations will likely linger through the week.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 29°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 31°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves near 2m in open waters and near 1m and occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.
