TRIPLE Murder In Ste. Madeleine — Father, Son, Family Friend Shot Dead At Home
Three (3) men are dead following a brutal shooting incident at a residence in Ste. Madeleine early this morning (Monday 1st June, 2026). The deceased have been identified as 43-year-old Martin Harripersad, his son Clairey Kingfoo, who is believed to be in his mid-20s, and a family friend known only as “Jo.”

According to reports, gunmen opened fire at a residence located along Sixth Street, Ste. Madeleine, around 1:23 AM. Officers responded to a wireless transmission of a shooting in progress and arrived at the scene minutes later.
Investigators were met by an 18-year-old who told Officers he had left the house to walk two (2) dogs. However, while returning home from a nearby track behind the residence, he heard approximately fifteen (15) gunshots.
Upon entering the property, he discovered his cousin, Clairey Kingfoo, lying motionless in a pool of blood near the front gate.
The teenager then made further checks inside the house and found his father, Martin Harripersad, and family friend “Jo” suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in a bedroom. Both men appeared to be dead.
Police Officers secured the scene and found Kingfoo's body at the entrance of the home. Harripersad was discovered lying on a bed inside a bedroom, while “Jo” was found slumped in a corner of the room.
A District Medical Officer (DMO) was summoned, who pronounced the men dead and ordered the bodies removed, pending post-mortem examinations.
Police have not yet established a motive for these killings.
Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the triple murder.
