BODY of Missing 37-Year-Old Man Found In Ravine In Longdenville — With Feet Bound
The body of a man was found in a ravine in Longdenville, Chaguanas, on Wednesday morning (13th May, 2026). The deceased is believed to be 37-year-old Jevon Stewart of Pecan Crescent, Cashew Gardens. He was last seen at his home around 9:00 PM on 4th May, 2026, and subsequently reported missing.
According to reports, Officers attached to the Longdenville Police Post received a report around 11:15 AM on Wednesday, from a resident who discovered the body behind his garden, in a ravine off Palmiste Gravel Road, Caparo Valley Brasso Road, Longdenville.
Officers, accompanied by the informant, travelled approximately 1.5 kilometres along a gravel track off the Caparo Valley Brasso Road, where they came upon the partially decomposed body of an African male lying inside a ravine. The body was found on its back with the feet bound, wearing a dark-coloured jersey and red three-quarter pants.
The area was immediately cordoned off.
A District Medical Officer (DMO) was summoned, who viewed the body, made certain pronouncements and ordered its removal, pending an autopsy.
Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the murder.
