High-Ranking Crime Group Member Arrested In Enterprise, Chaguanas; Firearm Seized

Officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) Special Operations Unit captured a high-ranking member of a known crime group and seized an illegal firearm and ammunition during an intelligence-led operation, conducted in Enterprise, Chaguanas, on Friday (15th May, 2026). The 26-year-old man is allegedly a “shooter” for the Rated R gang.

According to the TTPS, the operation was strategically directed by DCP Intelligence and Investigations, Natasha George, co-ordinated by ACP Smith, spearheaded by Snr. Supt. Pariman, and supervised by Ag. Sgt Castillo, together with Officers of the CID/CRO Special Operations Unit.

At approximately 4:30 PM on Friday, based on information received, Officers proceeded to the Central Division. While proceeding West along Freedom Street, Enterprise Extension, Officers observed a man known to them, who was wanted by Police and the subject of a Preventative Detention Order (PDO), standing along the roadway.

However, as the Officers approached and identified themselves as Police, the suspect fled into a nearby yard. Officers immediately pursued and successfully apprehended him. When searched, Officers found a revolver firearm containing two (2) rounds of ammunition concealed in the front waistband of his pants.

The Officers arrested the man, who was conveyed to the Central Police Station, along with the seized firearm and ammunition, pending further investigations.
