58-Year-Old Man Dies At Hospital Following 3-Vehicle Crash In Ste. Madeleine

A man is dead following a 3-vehicle road traffic accident in Ste. Madeleine on Friday night (28th November, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 58-year-old retired Prison Officer, Wayde Murray of Best Street, Cocoyea Village, San Fernando. Murray, a father of one (1), died the next day while being treated at the San Fernando General Hospital. According to reports, Murray was heading East in his Toyota Fielder wagon (PEF 508) with his girlfriend, Michele McCloud, in the front passenger seat, along Manahambre Road, near the Usine Pond, when he attempted to avoid a pothole in the road, around 7:00 PM. However, he swerved into the opposite lane and collided with a white Toyota Axio, driven by a woman. The impact caused the Axio to collide with a black Honda Vezel (PDW 827) behind it, pushing it into a utility pole at the roadside. Officers from the Ste. T&TEC: NO Electricity On Monday In Parts of Beetham

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that planned maintenance work will affect several areas of Beetham on Monday (1st December, 2025). This may result in loss of electricity between the hours of works — 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.   According to T&TEC, the affected areas in Beetham are as follows:  Heading East along Main Street from pole #74 to pole #112/6 by Fernandez Industrial Compound (south of PBR) and all associated side streets, inclusive of 14th street to 23rd street. Note: There will be partial interruption to Fernandez Industrial Compound (south of PBR). T&TEC says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by these interruptions.

Temporary Traffic Disruption: Park Street And Adjoining Streets, Port-of-Spain

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation is advising the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along Park Street and adjoining streets in Port-of-Spain, to facilitate upgrade works on the Traffic Signal System. The scheduled works will begin at the intersection of Park Street and Abercromby Street and continue along adjoining streets on the following dates: Friday 28th November and Saturday 29th November, 2025 from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM. Monday 1st December and Tuesday 2nd December, 2025 from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM. THREE (3) Men Held For Robbery In Curepe

Officers of the St. Joseph Criminal Investigations Department (CID) arrested three (3) men following a report of robbery with aggravation in Curepe early Saturday morning (29th November, 2025). According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), around 2:10 AM, a party of Officers were at a standstill position at the Curepe Traffic Lights, when they were approached by a man who reported that he had just been robbed by three (3) men in a green wagon, heading South along the Southern Main Road. The victim, a 22 –year-old man of Bushe Street, Curepe, told Officers he was robbed of an iPhone, a wallet containing TT $150 and a Republic Bank card. The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers of unplanned water interruption due to a mechanical problem at a unit at the Bagatelle Booster Station, San Juan. Affected areas are as follows:  Reduced pressures to Febeau Village, Bagatelle Extension, Sunshine Avenue, Moses Avenue, Lloyd Street and environs. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that planned maintenance work will affect several areas of Chase Village on Sunday (30th November, 2025). This may result in loss of electricity between the hours of works — 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.   According to T&TEC, the affected areas in Chase Village are as follows:  From LP #A550 (in the vicinity of HSM Marketing Company) to LP #544 on Southern Main Road, Chase Village, inclusive of Parabatia Drive, Sulaiman Drive, Derrick Road up to LP #62, Bholai Trace East, Bholai Trace West and all associated side streets. Over TT $16M In Cocaine Found In Fake ‘Cake Mix’ — 2 Women Bound For Germany Held At Tobago Airport

Police have seized over $16 million worth of cocaine and arrested two (2) women at the ANR Robinson International Airport in Tobago on Tuesday (25th November, 2025). According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), around 2:57 PM, Officers of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) were conducting routine duties at the Airport, paying special attention to passengers scheduled to board a flight destined for Frankfurt, Germany. During the duty, WPC Pope stopped and interviewed a 27-year-old woman from Darceuil Lane, Arima, and conducted a search of her luggage. Hidden among items of clothing were six (6) boxes of cake mix. Upon further examination, the white powdery substance inside the boxes was found to be cocaine. Another passenger, a 20-year-old woman from Arima Bypass, Arima, was also interviewed. SIU Strikes MAJOR Blow Against Drug Trafficking — Over TT $47M In Narcotics Seized In Central Division

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said it is applauding the outstanding performance of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), following a high-impact, intelligence-led operation in the Central Division that resulted in the seizure of over 413 Kilograms of Colombian “Creepy” marijuana, valued at TT $47,687,266.44. According to the TTPS, between 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM on Wednesday (26th November, 2025), Officers of the SIU, operating under the leadership of Snr. Supt. Edwards, Supt. Etienne, ASP Lynch and ASP Morales, and supported by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), executed a targeted exercise based on actionable intelligence. During the operation, a residence in the Central Division was searched under the Emergency Powers Regulation, 2025. Officers uncovered ten (10) crocus bags and five (5) garbage bags, containing high-grade cannabis, later weighing 413.68 Kg. Female TTPS Applicant In Court For Forged CXC Certificate; Granted $80,000 Bail

A woman has been granted $80,000 bail with surety, after she appeared in the High Court this week, charged with uttering a forged document, for the purposes of securing employment as a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).  According to the TTPS, Aveyola Castillo-Clairmont was charged with the offence when she appeared before Master Adia Mohammed, on Thursday (27th November, 2025). She was granted bail and the matter adjourned to 18th December, 2025, for a status hearing.  The TTPS said reports indicate that in 2019, a woman applied to be a member of the TTPS and in support of her application, she allegedly produced a preliminary result slip, in her name, with passing grades in certain academic qualifications. BODY of Missing 42-Year-Old Gardener Found With Gunshot Wounds In Valencia

The body of a missing man was found in Valencia on Wednesday night (26th November, 2025) after he failed to return home from tending to his garden. The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Anthony Sankar, a gardener of Oro Street, KP Lands, Valencia. According to reports, Sankar left home around 11:00 AM to see about his garden, a routine he normally completes by late afternoon. However, after he did not return, concerned family members contacted Police, around 8:40 PM. A search was subsequently conducted and his body was discovered at a garden off Valencia By-Pass Road, approximately a mile from the main roadway. He had gunshot wounds to the face and torso.  A District Medical Officer (DMO) was summoned, who examined the body at the scene and ordered its removal, pending a port-mortem examination. Caribbean Airlines Limited (CAL) has introduced proactive baggage status notifications for its customers, providing clearer baggage updates throughout their journey to support a more reassuring travel experience. In a Media Release on Tuesday (25th November, 2025), CAL said this new feature sends timely email notifications to customers at key stages of their journey, including when a customer's bag is loaded onto the aircraft and when it arrives at the customer's destination. Distribution of 2,500 Laptops To Form 1 Secondary School Students To Begin On Thursday

Minister of Education, Dr. Michael Dowlath, has announced that distribution of laptops to Form 1 Secondary School students will begin on Thursday (27th November, 2025), with 2,500 devices to be issued in the initial phase. The announcement was made by Minister Dowlath while speaking in Parliament earlier today (Wednesday 26th November, 2025), during the Question and Answer segment. He said the 2,500 laptops were received on Tuesday (25th November, 2025), while an additional 8,500 laptops are expected on 3rd December, 2025, followed by another 7,000 on 23rd December, 2025, bringing the total to 18,000 devices under the $135 million programme. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), after crawling through several meters of cramped ceiling vents at the Maximum Security Prison in Arouca last evening (Tuesday 25th November, 2025), a group of highly-trained Officers returned with a massive haul of contraband.
