Temporary Traffic Disruption: Park Street And Adjoining Streets, Port-of-Spain

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation is advising the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along Park Street and adjoining streets in Port-of-Spain, to facilitate upgrade works on the Traffic Signal System.

The scheduled works will begin at the intersection of Park Street and Abercromby Street and continue along adjoining streets on the following dates:

  • Friday 28th November and Saturday 29th November, 2025 from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM.
  • Monday 1st December and Tuesday 2nd December, 2025 from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM.

Alternative Routes

  • Motorists can utilize Park Street, then turn left onto Edward Street, right at New Street, right again on Charlotte Street, then left onto Picadilly Street to the final destination.
  • Motorists can also utilize Wrightson Road as an alternative route.

Advisory to Motorists

The public is kindly advised to:

  • Reduce speed when approaching the work zone.
  • Proceed with caution and observe all warning, information, and guide signs.
  • Comply with Police Officers and flaggers to maintain a safe and orderly traffic flow.

The Ministry notes that there will be frequent movement of heavy equipment along the roadway, which may result in temporary dust, noise, and traffic restrictions.
