32-Year-Old Man Shot Dead Outside Bar In La Romaine — 11 Spent Shells Found

UPDATE (16/07/26): Joycelyn Henry-Davis, 71, the mother of murdered Nyron Kyle Davis, said her son was an innocent victim who was caught in the crossfire when gunmen opened fire on Saturday night.

Speaking with Crime Watch Host, Ian Alleyne, Henry-Davis described her son as a hardworking plumber who loved football and basketball. She said he had gone out to watch a World Cup football match when tragedy struck. Blaming the widespread availability of illegal firearms, the grieving mother said innocent people continue to lose their lives because criminals have little regard for who gets caught in their attacks.

Meanwhile, Davis’ girlfriend, Brianna Ali, also spoke with Ian Alleyne, remembering him as a loving and caring partner whose life was cut short far too soon.

Police are now investigating whether Davis’ relationship with Ali may have been the motive for his killing.

A man is dead following a brazen shooting incident outside a bar in La Romaine last night (Saturday 11th July, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old plumber, Nyron Kyle Davis, of Maude Street, La Romaine. He was shot dead in what Police believe was a targeted attack.

According to reports, Officers attached to the La Romaine Police Post were on mobile patrol when they received a report of a shooting near Partner’s Bar, located at the corner of Church Street and the Southern Main Road, shortly after 10:00 PM.

Upon arrival at the scene, Officers were told that Davis had been sitting on a bench outside the bar with another man when two (2) gunmen approached them on foot.

The suspects drew firearms and fired several shots in their direction. Davis was struck in the chest and collapsed, while the other man managed to escape unharmed by running away.

The attackers then fled on foot along Church Street.

Police and Emergency Health Services were notified. Davis was rushed by a private vehicle to the San Fernando General Hospital for emergency medical treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries at 10:29 PM.

Crime scene investigators recovered eleven (11) spent 9mm shell casings, along with two (2) slippers and a blue hoodie believed to be of evidential value.

Police have not yet established a motive for this murder.

Investigations are continuing by Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI).

TWO (2) Suspects Arrested Following Armed Robbery At Chaguanas Mini-Mart

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), a man and a woman were arrested and a firearm recovered, following a co-ordinated Police response to an armed robbery at a mini-mart in Chaguanas this afternoon (Friday 17th July, 2026). At approximately 12:55 PM, Officers of the Central Division Task Force (Area North) responded to a report of a robbery with aggravation at a mini-mart, located along La Clave Street, Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas. UPDATE (06/07/26): Shahnaaz Ali has told Police that she was kidnapped, drugged and tortured before being left abandoned near a beach in Mayaro. Venezuelan Woman Stabbed To Death By Boyfriend During Confrontation At Chaguanas Home

UPDATE (12/07/26): Police have launched a manhunt for the 23-year-old boyfriend of Kelimar Del Jesus Duran Morillo, following her fatal stabbing early Saturday morning. The incident unfolded just hours after Morillo and her on-and-off boyfriend of three (3) years attended his birthday celebration at his parents’ home in Endeavour, Chaguanas. 42-Year-Old Man Killed When Panel Van Crashes Into Truck Along Caparo Valley Brasso Road

A man is dead following a road traffic accident along the Caparo Valley Brasso Road this morning (Saturday 4th July, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Jason Ramnanan of Caparo. According to reports, Ramnanan was driving a white panel van when it collided with a green and yellow waste disposal truck (TCJ 1195) near the Santa Phillipa Bridge along the Caparo Valley Brasso Road, around 9:00 AM.
