44-Year-Old U.S. Citizen Stabbed To Death In Castara, Tobago — Knife Lodged In Back

UPDATE (05/12/25): 26-year-old Kylon Sandy of Rockley Vale, Scarborough, Tobago, appeared before Master Whitney Franklin earlier today (Friday 5th December, 2025), charged with the murder of Christopher Brown. Sandy was remanded into custody until 22nd September, 2026.


UPDATE (28/11/25): A Tobagonian suspect is in Police custody following the stabbing death of Christopher Brown.


A man is dead following a stabbing incident in Castara, Tobago, late last night (Wednesday 26th November, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Christopher Brown, a builder of County Road, Silver Thorne, Tobago, and a U.S. citizen.


According to reports, Brown was dining at Marguarite’s Local Cuisine with friends on Wednesday night, before visiting a nearby restaurant and bar. He reportedly told the group he was leaving to buy marijuana, but never returned.

Police in Tobago received a report of a man lying motionless along a track at Depot Road, near the Castara Government Primary School, around 10:35 PM. Upon arrival, Officers discovered Brown lying face-down in a prone position near some steps, with a metallic object protruding from his back. He had been stabbed multiple times. Brown was clad in a blue shirt, black shorts, dark blue and grey shoes, and wearing a black wristwatch.

A District Medical Officer (DMO) was summoned, who subsequently pronounced Brown dead at 3:07 AM this morning (Thursday 27th November, 2025). The body was removed to the Scarborough General Hospital mortuary, pending a forensic post-mortem examination.

Police have not yet established a motive for this murder.

Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding his death.
