NO Electricity On Thursday In Parts of San Juan, Caroni, San Rafael, Endeavour

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that planned maintenance work will affect several areas of San Juan, Caroni, San Rafael and Endeavour on Thursday (14th May, 2026). This may result in loss of electricity between the hours of works — 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. 

According to T&TEC, the affected areas in San Juan, Caroni, San Rafael and Endeavour are as follows: 

SAN JUAN

  • Along Duncan Trace, Ramkissoon Trace, Quarry Road and all associated side streets.

CARONI

  • Senarine Trace, Kelly Village.

SAN RAFAEL

  • LP #52 Poui Lane Extension, Soriah Trace, Brazil.

ENDEAVOUR

  • From LP #1 on corner of Ackbar Road and Jerningham Junction Road heading South along Ackbar Road onto John Peter Road and then onto the Narsaloo Ramaya Road up to LP #41/1 (in the vicinity of Woodford Café), including John Peter Road West up to LP #74, Clark Road up to LP #6, Soogrim Trace up to LP #27/1, Heartland Plaza, Ministry of Agriculture, Barakah Grounds, Pennywise Plaza, M6 Plaza and all associated side streets.
  • Note: Price Plaza will NOT be affected.

T&TEC says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by these interruptions.

UPDATE 3:  The biological father of missing Angelo, 22-year-old Antonio Plaza, travelled to Tobago today (Friday 15th May, 2026) with his mother, Meena Plaza, seeking answers as to the whereabouts of little Angelo. Accompanied by Crime Watch host Ian Alleyne, they went directly to Cambridge Trace, Goodwood, the same area where Angelo was last seen on Monday night (11th May, 2026), hoping to speak with the child’s mother and get answers surrounding the baffling case. UPDATE 2:  The TTPS confirmed today (Tuesday 19th May, 2026) that seven (7) persons — three (3) females and four (4) males — have been detained as investigations continue into the disappearance of 2-year-old Angelo Tobias. The Cyber Unit is analyzing electronic devices seized, while searches continue in Tobago. UPDATE: Members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), led by Captain Vallence Rambharat, continued extensive operations at the Studley Park Landfill in Tobago today (Monday 18th May, 2026) as the desperate search for missing 2-year-old Angelo Tobias entered its seventh day. There are growing fears the toddler may have been killed and his body disposed of at the landfill. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is confirming that upon receipt of a report regarding the disappearance of 2-year-old Angelo Tobias of Goodwood, Tobago , on Monday 11th May, 2026, Officers immediately initiated a co-ordinated and comprehensive response. In a Media Release this morning (Sunday 17th May, 2026), the TTPS said, “A thorough search operation was promptly undertaken in and around the vicinity of the child’s residence, involving multiple agencies. This included extensive searches of surrounding areas as well as nearby coastal waters, where the child was last reportedly seen. This may result in loss of electricity between the hours of works — 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.   According to T&TEC, the affected areas in Blanchisseuse are as follows:  From LP #52 heading North on Paria Main Road, including National Quarries, ASA Wright Centre, Morne Bleu Radio Station, Morne La Croix, Brasso Seco, Brasso Seco R.C. There has been a major breakthrough in the disappearance of 2-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza , with Police confirming this morning (Wednesday 20th May, 2026) that a male relative, identified as the child’s stepfather, Shannon Miller, has confessed to his murder. Baby Angelo was reported missing since around 7:30 PM on Monday 11th May, 2026. According to reports, Miller was taken briefly by Police Officers this morning to Cambridge Trace, Goodwood, before being whisked away. Police later cordoned off access to the family’s seaside home. UPDATE (18/05/26): Investigators believe Daniel Mclean may have fallen from a coconut tree, hit his head and rolled into the nearby sea, as his body was reportedly found with head wounds. EDITOR’S NOTE: The body of this article has been updated with new details. The body of a man was located and retrieved from the sea in Blenheim, Tobago, on Friday morning (15th May, 2026) by members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT). The deceased has been identified as Daniel Mclean of Bacolet, Tobago. He was a father of one (1) and an employee of Dane Phillip Plumbing and Enterprises, who was also known for earning extra income by picking coconuts. According to reports, Mclean was reported missing around 6:00 PM on Thursday (14th May, 2026) after he failed to return home.
