Today: Cloudy, Windy, 30% - 40% Chance For Heavy Showers — Moderate Saharan Dust; 31°C Max

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect partly cloudy, breezy to windy conditions today (Friday 15th May, 2026), with moderate Saharan dust. Conditions will become cloudy at times during the afternoon, with light to moderate showers in some areas and a medium (30% to 40%) chance for a heavy shower or isolated thunderstorm to develop. 

Strong gusty winds are likely, especially near showers.

A High Wind Alert (Yellow Level) is in effect until 2:00 PM on Sunday (17th May, 2026).

The Met Office notes that Saharan dust concentration is expected to be moderate. Sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.

The forecast maximum temperature today will be 31°C at both Piarco in Trinidad and Crown Point in Tobago. 

Seas are moderate with waves 2.5m to 2.8m in open waters and 1m and choppy in sheltered areas.
