BODY of Kidnapped Victim Vishnu Lalla Found In Brechin Castle, Couva

UPDATE (11/11/25): Three (3) men, including a Police Officer, are in custody, assisting investigators with the kidnapping and brutal murder of Vishnu Lalla. The Police Officer was last assigned to the Chaguanas Police Station and then transferred to the Longdenville Police Post. Police sources say the Officer had not showed up for duty for the last two (2) weeks. Neighbours remain in shock, describing Lalla as a kind, quiet man who did not deserve such an end.

The body of a missing man was found in a bushy area at Brechin Castle, Couva, on Sunday night (9th November, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old farmer, Vishnu Lalla of Dairy Lane, Windsor Park, California. He was the brother of Krishna Lalla, Founder of Super Industrial Services (SIS) Limited, a general contracting and construction company.

Lalla’s body was found along an abandoned roadway near the old Caroni (1975) Limited medical clinic. He was reportedly kidnapped from his home a day earlier, on Saturday night (8th November, 2025), and his grey Toyota Hilux pickup (TCS 9822) was also missing. The vehicle was subsequently found burnt following an explosion along a dirt track off Pierre Road, George Street, Esperanza Village, Couva, on Saturday night.

A $100,000 ransom was reportedly demanded for Lalla‘s safe release and reports indicate a portion had already been paid when his body was discovered on Sunday.

According to reports, Lalla was attending to animals outside his home, around 6:50 PM on Saturday night, when his grey Hilux was seen speeding away from the property. Approximately thirty (30) minutes later, a man called from Lalla’s phone, demanding $100,000 by Midnight for his safe return.

Approximately two (2) hours later, residents of Pierre Road, off George Street, Esperanza Village, reported hearing a loud explosion. When Police and Fire Officers responded, they found Lalla’s van engulfed in flames along a dirt road. One person was reportedly burnt and taken to Hospital following the incident.

The vehicle was later removed to the Special Evidence Recovery Unit (SERU) for processing.

Three (3) men, including a Police Officer, are said to be currently in Police custody. However, investigators believe Lalla may have been murdered before the ransom demand was even made.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact the nearest Police Station.

Investigations are continuing into Lalla’s murder and the motive behind his killing.

More on this as it becomes available.
