Defence Force Denies Report That Troops Are On Standby For Military Operations

The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) said it is aware of an “unsubstantiated report” circulating on various platforms concerning the state of readiness of its units.

In a Media Release on Monday (1st December, 2025), the TTDF said it “unequivocally disassociates itself from this uncorroborated report, which indicates that troops are on standby for military operations. Please note that such baseless and unofficial information may cause unrest, which can be detrimental to public safety.”

The TTDF is urging citizens not to be “misled by sensationalized information.”

The Media Release concluded by saying, “The TTDF continues to support Trinidad and Tobago Police Service efforts to maintain safety and security of our nation.”

More on this as it becomes available.
