PTSC: Commuters With Soiled Clothing NOT Allowed To Travel On Buses During Carnival Season

The Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) is advising that customers/masqueraders whose clothing and/or costumes are soiled with grease, paint, dirt, oil or mud will not be allowed to travel on its buses.

In a Public Notice issued today (Friday 13th February, 2026), the PTSC said, “This decision is taken to protect public property and to ensure that all commuters are able to travel in buses that meet acceptable standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Grease, paint, dirt, oil or mud can cause permanent damage to the fabric on seats and the interior cabin of buses.”

The PTSC added, “We thank you for understanding and co-operation. We wish you a safe and enjoyable Carnival Season!”

Please be guided accordingly.
