Ravi B Responds To ‘Reunion’ Fete Fiasco In Sangre Grande — Issues Refund Policy

Chutney soca star Ravi B (Ravi Bissambhar) has issued an apology after some patrons were barred from entering his Reunion party at Tantra Terraces in Sangre Grande on Saturday night (7th February, 2026). As the event quickly filled to capacity, the Fire Service moved to restrict entry in order to avoid overcrowding of the venue, which resulted in some ticket-holders being turned away. Those affected were subsequently offered refunds.

See Ravi B’s full apology statement below:

Reunion Apology Statement - Feb 8th, 2026

To my people of Sangre Grande and everyone who came out in love to support REUNION, my heart is heavy knowing that some of you were unable to enter the venue on the night of the event.

REUNION was done purely out of love for my hometown, love for the culture and love for the people who have supported me from day one. Sangre Grande raised me and anything I do here is always from the heart.

We want to be absolutely clear: tickets were not oversold. The event was planned and executed well within the approved capacity of the venue. However, at a certain point, the authorities instructed that the gates be locked and entry was halted in compliance with those instructions. As difficult as this was we had to comply with those instructions. We respect the rule of law.

For the past three (3) annual events at the same venue, we followed the same protocols and the events proceeded smoothly. Unfortunately on this occasion, it was different. We fully understand the disappointment and frustration this caused and we sincerely regret the inconvenience experienced by our supporters.

To those who were affected, please know that I truly see you, I feel it and I sincerely apologize that this happened. Refunds will be issued to patrons who were unable to gain entry once a valid ticket is presented. Full details on the refund process will be subsequently shared.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding and most of all your continued love.

Sangre Grande means everything to me and I remain committed to always doing right by my people.

With respect and sincerity,

Ravi B

On behalf of the Reunion Team

The Reunion concert follows three (3) consecutive, sold-out stagings of the Karma lead singer’s HomeComing series, which brought some of the brightest talents in local music for the first time to Sangre Grande.

Reunion featured Ravi B, his sister, Nisha B (Nisha Bissambhar), two-time Chutney Soca Monarch Nishard M (Nishard Mayrhoo), soca stars Yung Bredda (Akhenaton Lewis), Lady Lava (Keisha Harris), Full Blown (Kevon and Kory Hart), Patrice Roberts and Grenadian soca act Muddy (Alex Cuffie), among others. The show also featured a guest artiste from Japan.

When Ravi B and Nisha B took the stage, the crowd erupted, dancing and singing along to their numerous hits. A special appearance by Voice intensified the energy, with fans waving and joining in the songs.

Reunion fans have since called for larger venues in the future to accommodate growing demand.

To ensure a smooth and fair refund process for everyone, Ravi B outlined the Refund Policy for Reunion today (Monday 9th February, 2026), which states that refunds will be facilitated only through the original point of purchase.
  • Physical tickets must be returned to the same outlet where they were purchased.
  • Online ticket holders are required to return to Ticket Gateway and submit a refund request through the platform.
Refunds cannot be processed at any other outlet or location.

Please remember to present your original ticket when requesting your refund.

The Refund Policy update concluded by saying, “We truly appreciate your patience and continued love you show. Your support means everything to us.”

More on this as it becomes available.
