The Ministry of Homeland Security officially launched Trinidad and Tobago's Online Arrival/Departure Card (ADC) Platform at a media event held at 11:00 AM this morning (Wednesday 11th March, 2026) at its Headquarters at Tower C, International Waterfront Complex, Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain. Minister of Homeland Security, the Honourable Roger Alexander M.P., led this important launch.

According to the Ministry, “The Online ADC Platform is an important national initiative aimed at modernizing the country's border management systems and advancing the digitization of the arrival and departure process for travellers entering and leaving Trinidad and Tobago. The introduction of this initiative represents a significant step in the Government's ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen border security, and improve the overall travel experience for visitors and returning nationals.”

Passengers will be required to access the platform at travel.gov.tt, where they must first create an account using a valid email address before completing the form.

Travellers will also be required to upload a photograph of the biodata page of the Passport they intend to use for travel.

Minister Alexander confirmed this morning that the system will be fully implemented by 17th March, 2026. However, travellers will be able to access the platform a few days earlier, on 14th March, 2026.

Watch the official launch of the Online ADC Platform below:

The platform will be accessible within seventy-two (72) hours prior to arrival or departure, allowing travellers to complete the process ahead of their trip. Once the form is submitted, users will receive a confirmation email containing a digital receipt for the arrival or departure card.

The receipt will include the traveller's unique code, name, Passport and flight information, along with a QR code that can be presented to immigration officials.

Passengers arriving in Trinidad and Tobago will be able to present the receipt on a mobile phone or other electronic device, or provide a printed copy to immigration officers.

The Online Arrival/Departure Card (ADC) Platform will mark the end of the paper-based immigration forms that travellers have traditionally been required to complete when entering or leaving Trinidad and Tobago.

With the introduction of the platform:

  • Travellers will be required to create an online account to complete their AD Card;
  • Users will be required to upload the biodata page of their Passport;
  • The platform will be accessible in multiple languages.

All passengers arriving in or departing from Trinidad and Tobago by air or sea will be required to submit the online arrival and departure form.

Speaking at the launch, Minister Alexander hailed the platform as a “new day” for Trinidad and Tobago, noting that it is a step in the right direction towards bringing the country on par with modern international travel standards.

“This digital platform will make the border-crossing process faster, more efficient and more secure for travellers entering and leaving Trinidad and Tobago. The Ministry of Homeland Security continues to work closely with the Immigration Division, the Customs and Excise Division, regional partners, airlines and maritime stakeholders to ensure the smooth rollout of this important initiative,” the Minister said.

Minister Alexander also noted that the system will continue to evolve and improve over time and encouraged members of the public to provide feedback that can further strengthen the platform.

Also speaking at the launch was Minister of Public Administration and Artificial Intelligence, Senator the Honourable Dominic Alexander Smith, who commended the departments involved for completing the platform in record time, moving from the establishment of a joint committee to the development of the operational system.

Minister Smith noted that several challenges had to be addressed, including amendments to the Immigration Act, in order to facilitate the implementation of the platform.

“Over a long period of time there was an opportunity to have this done to alleviate the difficulties experienced by citizens, and it was not done,” Minister Smith said.

Systems will also be in place at Airports in Trinidad and Tobago, as well as through airlines, to assist travellers who may experience difficulty using the platform.

The Ministry is encouraging all travellers to familiarize themselves with the new system ahead of the implementation date on 17th March, 2026.

Similar online arrival card systems are already in use in several Caribbean countries, including Antigua and Barbuda, St. Lucia, Dominica and Grenada.

More on this as it becomes available.
