WASA Responds To Ruptured Transmission Main Near Beetham Gardens; Motorists Advised To Exercise Extreme Caution
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) said it was alerted today (Thursday 7th May, 2026) to a ruptured transmission main in the vicinity of Beetham Gardens. The incident occurred during a cleaning exercise being carried out by another agency.
Upon notification, WASA said its emergency response teams were immediately deployed to the location. “Dewatering operations have already commenced to allow for a full assessment of the damage and to determine the necessary repairs.”
The Authority said it “wishes to assure its valued customers that every effort is being made to minimize the impact of this disruption. WASA is focusing entirely on its response and restoration efforts. Further updates will be provided as repair work progresses.”
