Manhunt Intensifies For Murder-Accused Escaped Prisoner From Arima Hospital

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is reminding members of the public that it is a serious criminal offence to knowingly harbour, conceal, or otherwise assist an escaped prisoner or any person who is unlawfully evading arrest.

This Advisory follows the escape of murder-accused prisoner Robby Khadoo from the Accident and Emergency Department of the Arima Hospital, at approximately 7:15 PM on Friday (3rd July, 2026). It is unclear what exactly Khadoo was being treated for and how he managed to escape.

A co-ordinated multi-agency operation is currently underway to locate and recapture the escapee. Police Officials said personnel from the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) have joined the search alongside specialist units from the TTPS and the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service (TTPrS).


In a Media Release on Saturday (4th July, 2026), the TTPS said it “wishes to make it unequivocally clear that any person who knowingly provides shelter, transportation, money, clothing, food, or any other form of assistance to help the escapee avoid apprehension may be liable to criminal prosecution under the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago. Similarly, anyone who knowingly provides false information to investigators, conceals evidence, or warns the escapee of Police operations may also be committing a criminal offence.”

The TTPS is urging members of the public “not to place themselves or others at risk by attempting to assist the escapee in any way. Anyone with information regarding the escapee’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Police immediately by calling 999, 555, 800-TIPS, the nearest Police Station, or by reporting information through the TTPS’ confidential reporting channels. All information received will be treated with the strictest confidence.”

The Media Release concluded by saying, “The TTPS thanks the public for its continued co-operation and support as Officers from several specialized units continue intelligence-led operations to safely locate and apprehend the escaped prisoner. Harbouring a fugitive is not an act of loyalty — it is a criminal offence. If you know where the escapee is, report it. Do not assist.”

25-Year-Old Woman Charged With Murder of Chaguanas Businessman Gregory Reece

A woman has been charged with the murder of   Chaguanas businessman Gregory Reece , who was stabbed to death at her apartment in Woodford Gardens on Sunday 28th June, 2026. She has been identified as 25-year-old Aaliyah Naipal of corner of Oak Avenue and Coconut Drive, Woodford Gardens. TWO (2) Suspects Arrested Following Armed Robbery At Chaguanas Mini-Mart

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), a man and a woman were arrested and a firearm recovered, following a co-ordinated Police response to an armed robbery at a mini-mart in Chaguanas this afternoon (Friday 17th July, 2026). At approximately 12:55 PM, Officers of the Central Division Task Force (Area North) responded to a report of a robbery with aggravation at a mini-mart, located along La Clave Street, Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas. The TTPS said preliminary enquiries revealed that two (2) suspects arrived at the business establishment in a silver Toyota Aqua. UPDATE (06/07/26): Shahnaaz Ali has told Police that she was kidnapped, drugged and tortured before being left abandoned near a beach in Mayaro. Police have since launched an investigation into the alleged kidnapping as enquiries continue. Shahnaaz Ali, the 31-year-old woman who was found in Mayaro the day after she failed to return home from work in Port-of-Spain , has told Police that she was kidnapped, drugged and tortured before being left abandoned near a beach in Mayaro. Ali was found wandering along Gran Lagoon Beach, Mayaro, around 7:00 AM on Saturday (4th July, 2026), after reportedly escaping from her captors. Venezuelan Woman Stabbed To Death By Boyfriend During Confrontation At Chaguanas Home

UPDATE (12/07/26): Police have launched a manhunt for the 23-year-old boyfriend of Kelimar Del Jesus Duran Morillo, following her fatal stabbing early Saturday morning. The incident unfolded just hours after Morillo and her on-and-off boyfriend of three (3) years attended his birthday celebration at his parents’ home in Endeavour, Chaguanas. Police believe Morillo left the gathering at around 1:50 AM on Saturday morning to return to her apartment because she was scheduled to work later that morning. 42-Year-Old Man Killed When Panel Van Crashes Into Truck Along Caparo Valley Brasso Road

A man is dead following a road traffic accident along the Caparo Valley Brasso Road this morning (Saturday 4th July, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Jason Ramnanan of Caparo. According to reports, Ramnanan was driving a white panel van when it collided with a green and yellow waste disposal truck (TCJ 1195) near the Santa Phillipa Bridge along the Caparo Valley Brasso Road, around 9:00 AM.
